It’s that time again! Time to talk about the things I’ve been loving in the previous month. We better get started, then.
UV Gel Manicure
At the beginning of the month, I treated myself to a manicure at the exclusive Superdrug Beauty Studio in Cardiff where I was introduced to the nail gel polish. It’s basically applied the same way as normal nail polish except you try your hands in a UV light nail dryer. It prevents chipping for approximately two weeks. I went for quite a neutral colour which would go with basically any outfit, but had a glittery effect. I honestly think this is such a good alternative to the standard nail polish as it lasts so much longer. I’d highly recommend this for going away on holidays or if you have a lot going on in a closed period of time. The chipping didn’t start until the end of the two weeks, which was great. I removed the last bits of the gel off with nail polish remover and they were back to normal. This cost £15 and is definitely worth it. I’m not sure of what other salons that offer this, but I would definitely recommend having it done. I have a concert weekend in June and I plan to get my nails done the day before.
LUSH Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie

I did it again. I went to LUSH and had another little spree. One of the items I bought was the Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie. This product is absolutely gorgeous to use in both the shower and bath and makes your skin incredibly soft and smelling a mixture of floral and sweet, but neither scent overpowering. You can definitely smell the rose ingredient which is really delightful. It’s rather thick, so you don’t need much to work over your body before rinsing it off. This is £16.95 for 200g from LUSH.
W7 In The Buff: Lightly Toasted
This is said to be the high street dupe of Urban Decay’s Naked. Now, unfortunately I’ve never been the proud owner of a Naked Palette (but that will change, mark my words) so I cannot compare the two products. However, I have friends who have had both products and said they are a great similarity to one another and according to other blogs and vlogs, the statement is correct. I’ve been using this palette for about three weeks now and I am very pleased with the finish. It’s fairly high pigmented and are just beautiful for both natural and smoky eye looks. I managed to get my palette from an unbranded beauty outlet, but you can get it on Amazon for £4.80.
Love, Tanya by Tanya Burr

This is the first book by Beauty Guru, Tanya Burr. It’s quite different as it’s not just an autobiography, but offers a variety of content, from her own recipes to beauty tips, love advice to confidence boosts and even the story of how she became a YouTuber. To me, this book felt like a personal guide from Tanya who is like a big sister role giving advice to her younger siblings who are her fans. The best thing is that you can re read over and over for tips and guides and not have to read from the beginning. I loved reading this book and feel like a lot of love was put into it. Love, Tanya is available for £6.49.
Eastenders LIVE: The Week of Revelations

I’m quite an avid watcher of Eastenders and have been watching it for years. When it was announced about EE Live week, I was super excited. The last live episode back in 2010 in the reveal of ‘Who Killed Archie Mitchell’ really had me gripped and so I was very much looking forward to an entire week with live inserts and the big reveal on Thursday alongside the flashback episode. SPOILER ALERT: I always had my suspicions of it being someone in the Beale family and a few weeks prior to live week, I saw some bizarre theories of Bobby Beale being the killer. I didn’t really believe it, but boy was I wrong! Although the theories of how he killed big sister Lucy weren’t accurate, they were right in who the killer was and I was slightly shocked. However, I have to give credit and applaud the actors and crew for putting on such an exhilarating and jam packed week full of twists and turns. My mouth was open more times than shut and I really did enjoy the entire week. Although 10 months is a very long time to keep us waiting for the killer, it did have a great turn out during the last few episodes, which I really enjoyed.
That’s it for this month! I’m really looking forward to seeing what next month’s favourites will be. Make sure you check back then!
