I was invited to the Kiehl’s Christmas Cardiff event on Saturday which was very exciting. For those who aren’t familiar with the brand, Kiehl’s is a brand which specialises in premium skin, hair, and body care products but originally started out over 160 years ago as an Old-World Apothecary in New York’s East Village.

What you’ll notice when you first walk into the store is that there’s a lot of decor which shows their original roots inspired by the original store/pharmacy. We were greeted to a skeleton, Mr Bones, who was there to represent how back in the early days there were no X Rays and so people would have to point on a skeleton model to say what was wrong with them.

Around the store were numerous gift sets along with the typical products which we could try and test as well as speaking to the consultants for skin consultations, which was really interesting to find the best way to treat our specific skin types.

Kiehl’s teamed up with the local university who took gift boxes and created designs with the brand in mind which to me was such a great touch as every box was individual and a one-of-a-kind exclusive design to keep.

The shop was full of Christmas vibes, with festive songs playing, Christmas treats such as hot chocolate, mince pies and cookies and there was even a gingerbread decorating station, which proved to be very popular!

It was a great evening to have learnt more about the brand, our skin types and just step into the Christmassy mood Of course, we didn’t leave empty handed as we were given free gifts full of samples to try and test out.

Have you ever tried Kiehl’s? What’s your skincare holy grail?
