It’s the most wonderful time of the year – the season of Christmas advertisement! I think I love the lead up to Christmas almost as much as the actual event. LUSH Spa Cardiff invited me to their Christmas event earlier this week where bloggers could come into store and witness product demos, shop tours and indulge in festive treats.

Before the event, we could see all the staff huddled in a circle where they sang the chorus of All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey to get in the mood, which then got us all in the mood. We were then let in where we were offered a mince pie or cupcake and a drink inspired by their products, which I think is simply incredible.

I was greeted by Holly who was my personal tour guide for the evening. She showed me all the festive products, going into detail with the inspiration, the ingredients and giving a real insight to each and every product that was sold. Of course, LUSH has has a phenomenal size Christmas range, so to tell you about each and every product would take me forever, but what I can tell you is that there is simply something for everyone in the LUSH Christmas range. From sweet to spicy, sparkly to soothing, the products cater to everyone’s taste.

This year’s theme focuses on all things naked. And by naked I mean without the packaging. As you’re probably aware, LUSH is a very ethnic and organic company and care about the environment, animal rights, human rights and everything in between. A lot of the bottle and pot products have been stripped of their homes and are flaunting it in the nude and I am loving it. “But Jazz, how do you use liquid products without any packaging?!” Well, dear reader, the very creative employees at LUSH HQ have managed to reformulate your favourite festive shower gels, body conditioners and other liquid or cream based products so they are in a solid. You use them as you would soap but the texture of the product will come out varying on it’s use. So shower gel still feels like shower gel, body conditioner still feels like body conditioner and so on. But if that doesn’t sound up your street, don’t worry, there are still bottled products. But if I were you, I’d definitely give at least one naked product a try because it’s a great way of helping the environment by condensing down our use of plastic and I don’t know about you but I love our planet and want to help it wherever possible.

LUSH always manage to make a bar of soap so much more exciting and this year I’ve totally fallen in love with Golden Pear. No surprise what it’s in shape of or the scents but it’s such a moisturising soap. But what else is in it? Well, as LUSH told me…

*Sing to the 12 Days of Christmas*

A jar of pear purée
Murumuru butter
Warming cardamom oil
Some agave syrup
Brazilian orange oil
Organic cocoa butter
A drop of almond oil
Five Golden things!
Sandalwood oil
Creamy coconut
A whole organic clove
Are all part of Golden Pear soap

I think my favourite part of the event was seeing all the different Christmas gift sets. These are perfect for any LUSH fan (so if you’re wondering what to get me this year…) with lots of them consisting of specific themes such as Rosy Christmas consisting of Rose Jam products. The price range varies from £10.50 right up to an incredible £250! Bare in mind the more expensive, the more products inside and each set is worth it’s price tag. I think these are amazing for Christmas gifts and are wrapped so beautifully, many in the knot wraps which are piece of material that can be reused for wrapping presents or used for other things (bandanas for your furry friends is a great idea, if you’re looking for one.)

There’s so much to tell about the LUSH Christmas Event, but I’ll let you have a sneak peek at what I experienced.

Have you seen this year’s LUSH Christmas collection? What’s your favourite festive item?
