Feb faves

It’s pretty insane as to how quick February went. I know there’s a few days less compared to January, but let’s be honest, that’s not much of a big deal. In comparison to last month’s favourites, I have favourites are more interesting and probably appealing to more of you as I was no longer poorly and able to just be more humane.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp

Nyx Antrwerp

I’ve never really been one for bold lips, but I decided to move slightly out of my comfort zone and try it. I heard a lot of people raving about the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream so I felt compelled to trying one. The colour is a lot brighter than the packaging but was pretty moisturised, though that didn’t have any affect on the matte look. It’s a perfect size for your bag to go out and about and I just think it’s great for a bold look.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (Vanilla)

Bourjois

After being recommended this foundation by a friend, I thought I would give it a go. I applies so well and doesn’t look caked in the slightest. I wear Vanilla (52) and it matches my skintone perfectly. It’s the foundation I have been wearing all month and have been getting lots of compliments on. I would describe it as a medium coverage which is easily buildable if you were going for a high coverage.  Plus, when I take it off, my skin feels so good. As a bonus, you can really smell the fruits used in there including apricot and melon, so that’s good if you like nicely scented products.

TIGI Oatmeal & Honey Shampoo and Conditioner Duo

Screen Shot 2016-02-29 at 04.08.14

This actually isn’t mine, but my mother picked this up at the hairdressers and offered for me to use it. It is honestly one of if not the best shampoo and conditioner duos I have ever used. It feels so cleansing and soothes my hair leaving it feeling so soft and repaired. Running my hands through it in the shower, my hair literally feels so silky and while that feeling tends to go after your hair dries, this isn’t the case with the Oatmeal & Honey nourishing duo. I definitely love these products and think they are worth every penny.

MTV’s Catfish Season 4

Catfish

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I really enjoy Catfish. Nev and Max were back last year delivering us the fourth season of the reality show in where the detective duo help hopefuls in finding out if the person they are lusting over online are really who they say they are. With such a disrupted 2015, I was unable to keep up with the show on a weekly basis, so with season 5 just days away from the premiere, I decided to spend this month catching up with the most recently aired season. I always seem to be hooked on the show and highly intrigued in how people manage to keep up a false life look so realistic online and their motives behind it. This season definitely saw some major plot twists that I won’t reveal, but if you’re all about social media and real life drama, then this show is for you.

PAN (2015) Starring Hugh Jackman, Levi Miller, Garrett Hedlund

PAN

It goes without saying that Peter Pan is my utmost favourite fairytale in existence and I have seen many adaptions of the story via film. My favourite will forever be the Disney cartoon classic that I grew up with, but this movie had a twist to the story we all know and love. ‘Every legend has a beginning’ and this film focuses on how Peter (Levi Miller) first found his way to Neverland and the unsuspecting friendship between himself and James Hook (Garrett Hedlund). It also has answers to questions as to how Peter is able to fly, what species he is and how he met characters he seems so friendly in the story we have heard before.  This family film is packed with adventure and magic which you’ll enjoy regardless of age.

The Amazing Race

Internet Stars

This is an American reality TV show where 11 teams of two race around the world, completing both physical and mental challenges, hunting for clues and navigate around the countries that are visited. This is the first time I have seen it as this current season features internet stars including my favourite, Tyler Oakley. The show is so interesting and I’m highly enjoying watching the show so far. I’m not sure as to when the show ends but thanks to an app called Hola, I can watch American TV shows on different websites including CBS, where The Amazing Race is aired.

All Time Low

ATL

This isn’t the first time that I have listened to All Time Low and I have enjoyed some of their music in the past, but after my friend, Lauren, has been talking about them so much lately, she has urged me to add them to my playlist, in which I have and I definitely appreciate their music a lot more. My go-to songs to listen to include ‘Therapy’, ‘Missing You’, ‘Dear Maria (Count Me In)’ and of course, being a Peter Pan lover, ‘Somewhere in Neverland’. I definitely feel like listening to them this time around that their music has grown on me a lot more.
