I’m not really one for resolutions. I used to make them when I was younger, but they weren’t of any real significance. However, there are things I want to do within 2017 which I wouldn’t really call resolutions, but just things I’d like to see happen. So, we’re going to call it my 2017 bucket list and go from there.

Go travelling

I wouldn’t say like pack my bags and go across Europe or something, but I’d like to just go places more. Maybe a trip to London, hopefully one to Paris or Brighton. Just get out of my usual surroundings. It’d be really nice to just go somewhere and enjoy myself.

Get a new tattoo

I really love my first tattoo, but I want to get another one. I’m not planning to get as crazily inked as my dad was, but I’d like a few meaningful ones. I’m not going to tell you the design I want to get, because I want to be a surprise, but it’s a small one and I’ve wanted it for a good while now.

Take my nephew somewhere

Somewhere that isn’t our local town! Probably just for a day trip, but I haven’t had the chance to go anywhere with him yet, so hopefully Josie and I can arrange to do a day trip with him.

Improve my blog

As previously mentioned, I’m focusing more on my blog at the moment and I’d really like to improve it throughout 2017 and do more with it. Explore different ideas and just create more content which will go down well with my readers. I have lots of ideas and I’d just like to see them come to life and go well.

Go to a drag show

Lily introduced me to her friend, Cardiff drag queen, Heidi Wurst, who also runs Sickening Events – a local events company who puts on drag shows, including queens who featured on RuPaul’s Drag Race. I’ve seen the photos and they look like so much fun, so I’d definitely love to attend at least one in 2017. I’ll be sure to let you know what it’s like, too!

Host a charity event

I absolutely love fundraising. Back in 2012, I held a Macmillan Coffee Morning which ended up being the local one for our community. It was so much fun and such a success, that I’d love to do another community event. I’m already in talks with some people, so cross your fingers and let’s hope it goes ahead.

Meet Olly Murs… again!

I know, I know, I’ve met up a few times. But listen, this guy is the nicest singer I’ve ever met. He’s so lovely and down to Earth and I’d love the chance to meet him again.

Read more books

I bloody love reading, but sometimes my concentration levels drop. Usually, it’s to do with my anxiety or depression. So, I’d love to get the reading bug again and read a lot more in 2017. I had a few books for Christmas, so I can definitely make a start.

Attend a bloggers event

My anxiety has often stood in the way, but this year I would love to attend a bloggers’ event! I would absolutely love to attend at least one this year and hopefully benefit from it.

Create a wardrobe I absolutely love and feel comfortable in

I have one or two outfits which I love, but I want to be able to have all clothes that I 100% feel comfortable in and just be in love with. I think wearing clothes that are simply ‘me’ are definitely a key to gaining some sort of confidence, which I highly lack in.

Find balance and happiness in life

2016 has definitely seen my mental health get the better of me, so this year I’d really like to get out of the ruts I can fall into, find balance between everything and just be happy. To me, that is key for me to work on in 2017 and just become a happier young woman who feels satisfied with living instead of just merely existing.
