Sunday I went on a day trip to Bath to check out the famous Bath Christmas Market and take in the beautiful sights. After an early rise and three hour journey, we arrived in the gorgeous city and began to explore what Christmas in Bath looked like.

This is the 17th year that the Bath Christmas Market has taken place and has grown to become the UK’s favourite Christmas Market with over 200 chalets meaning there’s really something for everyone. As it was a Sunday, the city was truly thriving and full of Christmas spirit. With the market only there until 10th December, people from all over the country filled the iconic marketplace to find some unique gifts.

The entire area was full of delicious smells as German-style market food was sold along with chestnuts, hot chocolate and mulled wine.

As we explored the city centre, we stumbled across called December 25th which we had no choice but to go and explore! It was pretty small but full of stunning decorations that would suit any kind of Christmas theme. From vintage to modern, winter wonderland to glitter galore – you’d be guaranteed to find something to satisfy you.

We then saw a City Sightseeing bus in which we decided to take advantage of so we could see the sights of Bath, which I’m so glad we did. The architecture is just breathtaking and I’m so glad I took the tour to be able to see it from a better height. If you go to Bath, it’s definitely one thing you need to take advantage of – it makes for some really nice pictures!

To me, Bath is a wonderful place to visit at Christmas, full of the festive spirit and has a lot on offer. I only wish I could have explored even more.

Have you ever been to Bath? What’s your favourite Christmas market?
