Whenever I write the title of these monthly favourites, I get blown away by how fast time goes by. We’re very nearly almost through yet another year – how?! Anyway, onto what we all came here for…
Hard Days Night LUSH Spa Treatment
I know I’ve already written a review on this, but I had to let you know that I loved it so much that I’ve not been able to stop thinking about it the entire month! I feel like the LUSH Spa is a perfect gift idea for someone who would like some TLC and also those who really appreciate the ethical and natural essences in beauty and body. It’s wonderful for those dealing with mental health stresses or just need a good break and chance to unwind. It also has the option for it to be vegan friendly, which isn’t really something you hear about spa treatments elsewhere. The LUSH Spa treatments don’t feel like these big incorporate companies – they’re so homely and comforting which makes you feel that even more at ease. If you’re looking for a good Christmas present this year, then I really think a gift card to a LUSH Spa treatment is something that will go down well on Christmas morning.
Hard Days Night is available from £95.00 and is also available as a couples treatment
Too Faced Natural Love Palette
I have been wanting this palette for so long, you have no idea. I was lucky enough to receive it from my Gran for my birthday and holy moly, am I in love?! I’ve wanted this palette because every shade is one I’d use, which you don’t normally get that lucky with palettes, especially as big as this. The 30 shade palette offers natural toned shades (hence the name) and is essentially perfect for your four seasons colour schemes, meaning you can create beautiful looks for autumn, winter, spring and summer! At the moment I’ve only really been playing with the darker more bronzy shades of the palette due to the time of year but the consistency and pigmentation is simply stunning. They are very easy to apply and a little tends to go a long way. I also find that being a dark haired girl, the blacky-brown shade, Stiletto, is perfect for filling in eyebrows if you don’t have a brow product to hand. The palette comes with a big mirror which is always a plus and is also very sleek meaning it’s great for travelling. I cannot help but sing the praises of this palette – it may be my all time fave!
Too Faced’s Natural Love Palette is available for £50.00
Flicker – Niall Horan
Out of all of the One Direction boys, it’s always been Niall whose solo material I’ve been looking forward to the most. The music slips into a different direction compared to the boy band era he’s famous for and is the kind of sound that would be more appreciated by a wider age range. Horan has often spoken about his influences of The Eagles, John Mayer and Crosby, Stills and Nash and you can definitely hear it in this folk-pop sounding album. For any 1D fan, as each member releases their material, you can get a sense of each member’s input to the five albums release as a group. But if you dislike One Direction, please don’t let this put you off giving this album a listen. If you were unaware of who Niall or One Direction are, you’d believe this record was by a solo singer-songwriter who has been in the game for decades. My favourite tracks are On My Own, Too Much Too Ask, Fire Away and Slow Hands.

LUSH’s Sleepy Body Lotion
I guess you could say this has been a LUSH-heavy month. Of course, I wasn’t going to go for my treatment and not buy anything from the store, that’s a bit rude! The whole of the internet has been on a pure rave about how much they love the Sleepy Body Lotion and there’s been claims that the lavender based product is so good that it’s cured people’s insomnia. As someone who deals with sleep issues, I had to put the product to the test and Oh My Goodness, it works! Just before going to sleep, I put a layer of the lotion on and I end up drifting off within 15-30 minutes tops, which doesn’t usually happen. I feel like the closer to bedtime you put it on, the better the effect it has and I tend to put a little extra around my neck, on my chest and my wrists so I get a stronger sense of the scent.
Sleepy Body Lotion is available from LUSH from £7.95
Tanya’s Christmas by Tanya Burr
This is perhaps the most festive book I’ve ever read. YouTuber, beauty guru and girl boss, Tanya Burr, has released her third book and this time it’s all about the greatest time of year. Tanya talks about her own traditions, giving tips and tricks to make preparations for the big event easier, a great list of gift ideas and so many amazing recipes to try out. This is the ultimate guide to a wonderful Christmas and I cannot wait to try out her ideas and suggestions.
Available from W H Smiths for £10.19
Simply Complicated – Demi Lovato
Demi Lovato is back in the game, not only with a new album, but a brand new documentary. Simply Complicated is a YouTube exclusive documentary that gives us a real and hard hitting reality to behind the scenes of the Pop Princess’ life. As the media and Demi herself has made us aware, she has a serious battle with mental health – bipolar disorder and an eating disorder as well as being a sober alcoholic and drug user. Lovato opens up about the secrets she kept from her fans and the rest of her world, while also talking about both her battle and recovery process. It’s a dark and brutally honest tale to tell but it’s so important for people to talk about mental health and someone such as Demi who is a self proclaimed advocate talking truthfully and sharing those stories allows fans and fellow victims of mental health illnesses to see they are not alone, talking about it shouldn’t be taboo and it’s okay to not always be okay. Demi also talks about her experience with heartbreak, her sexuality and becoming an independent young woman for the first time in her life. I’ve been a fan of Miss Lovato’s since she was a young teen and I’ve witnessed so much of what she’s been through and I am proud of her. It’s not easy to battle your demons but to do it while the world watches must be even harder than I can imagine.

Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Metal Moon
I don’t usually jump straight on the bandwagon when it comes to new beauty products but they hype was so real, I just had to see what it was all about. I viewed a few YouTube reviews of Rihanna’s new beauty line – Fenty Beauty – and they were so positive. I saw some people wearing this highlighter and I had to give it a try. I know it looks like a bright white powder but once you apply it, it’s a beautiful silver-white shimmer which looks bright enough to turn your enemies blind. this is a gorgeous highlighter and looks so good. It’s quite bright and doesn’t need too much application. If you prefer a natural highlight, maybe this isn’t for you. It’d look fantastic on a night out or if you just really love highlighter and don’t care about the time of day.
Available from Harvey Nichols for £26.00

I love seeing fave posts like these. I always end up discovering new products or things for me to try. I still have to try the two-faced products but have heard good things, that palette looks fab.
