Life is not a fairytale (overdue photo dump)

I went to the Cardiff Pumpkin Festival with my cou

I went to the Cardiff Pumpkin Festival with my cousin and her partner! It was £10 per car and included entry into the corn maze and pumpkin patch as well as a variety of activites for the family. There were also rides and food at an additional price. It was sold out this weekend but there’s limited space at next week’s events!

The corn maze was super muddy because of the rain the day before and made it very hard to walk around so we skipped the actual pumpkin patch too, but the rest was good fun!

My family and I spent a few days at SandyBalls Holiday Village in New Forest, Hampshire! There’s plenty of things to do for all the family, too. And. It’s dog friendly! And if activities in the holiday village aren’t enough, there’s lots of things to do in the New Forest and surrounding areas, too. Here’s a little look at the village. Just 30 minutes away from New Forest, Bournemouth Pier was a great day out. Though October isn’t really beach season, it was still great exploring the famous seaside attraction! The dogs loved being by the sea while my gran and I really enjoyed the oceanarium.

Visiting Burley was perhaps my highlight of the trip to New Forest!

Burley is a witchy village located deep in the New Forest. It was made famous by white witch Sybil Leek who opened up a shop there in the 1950s before later moving to the village herself. The village has such a quaint charm to it, with old thatched cottages, independent shops and wild ponies roaming around.

I really enjoyed the shops, which many are of a witchcraft theme offering a mix of genuine witchy items to more merchandising products.

It became very easy to hyperfixate on the story of Sybil Leek and the history of Burley and it has been really interesting to learn about. I would really love to go back to Burley to spend more time there and getting to discover even more about Sybil and the village’s history!
