In today’s Wanderlust Wishlist, I’ll be sharing with you my dream of visiting the Big Apple. It’s a place both my mother and I have wanted to visit for quite some time but haven’t had the chance to get round to it. I love to read about places I dream of visiting someday so I thought I’d share with you my New York bucket list.

Picnic in Central Park

Central Park is of course an iconic location in New York and I’d love to be able to visit there and have a picnic. It’d be nice to take a break from the hussle and bussle and just grab some takeaway food, sit in the park and eat. I’m easy to please, aren’t I?

Explore Times Square

I’ve always been fascinated by Times Square. I remember looking at my brother’s photos from his trip to NY and just being blown away. From shopping to dining, exploring and finding books at The Strand. I’d love to visit Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum, go to Hard Rock Café and catch a Broadway show.

Take in the views from Top of the Rock

I’ve heard that the views from the Top of the Rock Observation Deck are the best in all of New York City, with a 360° views of the concrete jungle. It’d be nice to get some photos up there and just really soak in the beautiful scenes. I’d love to go up at sunset – I bet the lighting will look incredible.

Shop in SoHo

New York Bucket List

People often say how SoHo is one of the city’s best neighborhoods to shop and has something for everyone’s price range. The famously arty neighborhood of the ’70s and ’80s has evolved into one of New York City’s prime shopping districts. There’s so many brands that I already love that reside there as well as new ones I’d love to discover!

Have Breakfast at Tiffany’s

New York Bucket List

The flagship store of Tiffany & Co’s has officially opened their Blue Box Cafe where you can finally have Breakfast at Tiffany’s! Choose from a choice of smoked salmon & bagel stack, truffle eggs, avocado toast and buttermilk waffle as well as croissants, seasonal fruit & berries and tea or coffee. I also really like the sound of the Tiffany Tea which is a form of afternoon tea, so maybe I’d end up here more than once!

Check out amazing street art in Bushwick, Brooklyn

New York Bucket List

I’ll admit, I’d never heard of Bushwick until I read a blog post a while back where the blogger took some great photos of the street art there. It’s said that it’s home to some of the best street art in the world and I’d love to witness it and get some photos.

Try some famous New York Cheesecake

New York Bucket List

I know this is something my mother would love to do and it’s something I definitely wouldn’t mind trying, either. Let’s see if the likes of Asda and Tesco’s shop bought has a patch on the original!

Explore Little Italy

New York Bucket List

During the late 19th to early 20th centuries, hundreds of thousands of Italian immigrants moved into Little Italy. Their legacy lives on today in the shape of Italian restaurants and specialty stores. I’ve already shared my love and hopes to someday visit Italy itself, so it’s no surprise this is one for the bucket list.

I can’t imagine trying to tour the area with two toddlers in tow, although I do know a few people who live in the city with little ones.
